In an exciting development for fitness racing, Hyrox, the global competitive fitness brand, has entered a two-year partnership with Zepp Health Corporation. Zepp Health’s smart wearable brand, Amazfit, has been named the Official Wearable Partner and Timekeeper for Hyrox through this collaboration. The partnership aims to support the more than 300,000 athletes who compete in Hyrox events across Europe and the United States each season.
Amazfit, known for offering affordable yet high-quality smartwatches, including popular models like the Amazfit Cheetah Pro, Falcon, T-Rex Ultra, and the recently launched Balance, will be providing its wearable technology to enhance the performance and experience of Hyrox athletes. Additionally, Amazfit will activate its partnership rights at various Hyrox events, creating a tangible presence for the brand at races and offering unique features designed specifically for the Hyrox community.
One of the critical innovations announced as part of this partnership is the development of a Hyrox race mode within Amazfit smartwatches. This feature will integrate seamlessly with HYROX365, a platform dedicated to supporting Hyrox Training Clubs and coaches. The introduction of this technology underscores Amazfit’s commitment to empowering athletes with smart digital solutions to enhance their training and performance. Wayne Huang, CEO of Zepp Health, shared his excitement about the partnership: “I am delighted to announce our partnership with Hyrox, aligning two forces dedicated to pushing the boundaries of athletic achievement and unlocking human potential. Our smartwatches and fitness wearables aim to empower athletes to reach their peak performance and transform their everyday lives.”
Hyrox’s unique race format combines 1km runs with functional workout stations, repeated eight times for a standardized, globally consistent challenge. Often referred to as the “marathon of fitness,” the competition is celebrated for its inclusivity, with no cut-off times and the ability for participants aged 16 to 89 to compete at their own pace, as well as already showcasing Hyrox Youngstars at London Olympia in May 2024 - an event for youngsters aged 8 to 15, with workouts specifically crafted for their development. This focus on accessibility has made Hyrox one of the fastest-growing fitness competitions in the world.
Moritz Fürste, co-founder and CMO of Hyrox, emphasized the significance of the partnership with Amazfit: “The sport of Hyrox is evolving rapidly, and the future of fitness racing is now intertwined with cutting-edge smartwear technology Amazfit. The upcoming development of a Hyrox race mode and integration within Hyrox365 will greatly aid athletes and training clubs going forward. We are always committed to giving our athletes the best chance at success, and we’re pleased to be doing this alongside Amazfit.”
With this partnership, Amazfit and Hyrox are poised to revolutionise the way athletes prepare for and participate in fitness races, combining the physical demands of competition with advanced wearable technology to optimise performance and training. As both brands continue to push the boundaries of fitness innovation, this collaboration sets the stage for an exciting new chapter in the evolution of the sport.
